What is the CNN Fear & Greed Index? +
It's a composite index built from 7 market indicators: S&P 500 Momentum, Stock Price Strength, Market Breadth, Put/Call Ratio, VIX Volatility, Junk Bond Demand, and Safe Haven Demand. It scores from 0 (Extreme Fear) to 100 (Extreme Greed) and is published by CNN Business.
How often does the alert check the index? +
Every hour, on the hour. If the score is below your configured threshold and your cooldown period has elapsed, you'll receive an email. By default, alerts fire when the score is below 40 (Fear zone) with a 24-hour cooldown.
What can I configure? +
You can set your alert threshold (any score from 1–100), how often you want to be notified (from every 6 hours up to once a week), which sub-indicators to include in the email, whether to include the 60-day history chart, and whether to include the momentum confirmation section. You can also pause all notifications entirely.
Can I cancel at any time? +
Yes. Cancel immediately from your dashboard and you won't be charged again. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing week.
