The useful part

Trade Journal

A journal is most useful when it preserves the decision and the evidence around it, not only the final number.

01

Capture the decision before the result

Log the symbol, side, setup, timeframe, thesis, planned entry, stop, target, and quantity. Keep the reasoning visible before P&L becomes the only story.

02

Bring in the execution record

Normalize fills from supported broker exports in your browser, then keep the imported executions private to your account. Duplicate exports are rejected safely.

03

Review behavior, not only P&L

Record win, loss, breakeven, or missed outcomes alongside realized P&L, rule adherence, satisfaction, emotion, and the lesson to carry forward.

A calmer workflow

From a market idea to a reviewable record.

FearAlert keeps research, decisions, and outcomes close enough to learn from without pretending the process is certain.

01

Make the plan explicit

Create an idea with the setup, thesis, timeframe, entry, stop, target, and size. Link the alert, watchlist item, or strategy run that informed it.

02

Import or update the trade

Import one broker export at a time or update actual entry and exit details manually. The journal keeps an execution ledger separate from the idea.

03

Close the loop

Mark the outcome, realized P&L, whether you followed the plan, your state, and the lesson. Filter by status or search your setups later.

Questions, answered

Know what the tool does before you use it.

Which brokers can I import into the Trade Journal?

FearAlert supports TradeNote template / TradeZero, Interactive Brokers, thinkorswim / TD Ameritrade, TradeStation, Tradovate, MetaTrader 5, HeldenTrader Pro, Rithmic, FundTraders, NinjaTrader, and TopstepX.

Are broker credentials required?

No. FearAlert imports an export file in your browser. It does not require broker credentials or place orders. Imported executions are stored as private account data.

Can I connect a trade to my research?

Yes. A trade idea can link to an alert rule, watchlist item, or strategy run. Those links remain attached as context even if the source is later changed or removed.
